If your points or reading progress have disappeared, one of the following common causes is usually responsible. Work through these checks in order before contacting support.
Check 1 — Make sure you're signed in
Tap the More tab in the app. If you see a "Sign in to Galatea" banner at the top, you are not currently logged in. Tap it to sign in and your points and progress will be restored.
Check 2 — Make sure you're on the right account
If you have signed in with more than one method (for example, Apple on one device and Google on another), your points and progress are stored separately on each account. Make sure you're signed in with the same login method you used when your progress was last visible.
Check 3 — Restore Purchases
Tap the More tab, then tap Restore Purchases. This re-syncs your account with your app store and can recover points that were purchased but not yet reflected.
Check 4 — Check your subscription status
Some reading progress is tied to an active subscription. If your subscription has expired, you will only see the content you had access to before subscribing.
- Check your subscription status in your device's app store settings (App Store or Google Play).
- If your subscription is active but your progress is still missing, continue to the next step.
💡 Note: Deleting the Galatea app does not automatically cancel your subscription. If you deleted the app and reinstalled it, your subscription is most likely still active — you just need to sign in to the same account to restore your progress.
Check 5 — Force-close and reopen the app
Sometimes the app simply needs a fresh start to display the correct data.
- iOS: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and swipe Galatea away, then reopen it.
- Android: Tap the recent apps button and swipe Galatea away, then reopen it.

- What is missing — points, reading progress, or both
- When you last saw your points/progress correctly
