With the introduction of subscriptions in Galatea our readers may want to know how and when they can unsubscribe.
How you purchased your subscription will determine how you need to cancel it.
Canceling a Google or Apple Subscription
You can cancel your Galatea subscription through your respective appstore (Google Play for Android, or the AppStore for Apple) if you signed up via your mobile device.
After you've canceled your subscription you may be able to request a refund. These links can help walk you through how to do so:

In order to request a refund, please reach out to either Google Play within 48 hours, or Apple Support within 60 days for a refund request to be considered.
If you have any issues with that process, refunds, or want to see when a subscription needs to be canceled to not be charged again, please reach out to your app store support since they handle all subscriptions and subscription charges.
Canceling a subscription purchased on our website
You can cancel your Galatea subscription through the web if you signed up via the Galatea Website and purchased your subscription through Stripe. This will not work for Apple or Google Play subscriptions.
Please note, this link will not send any codes to you if you do not have a Stripe Galatea subscription. If you do not receive a code, please manage your subscription through your App Store settings.

Canceling a Monthly Subscription

Once you log into your Galatea account using the email address associated with your subscription, the login button at the top will be updated to “Your Profile”. After clicking “Your Profile” you will be directed to account details and there will be an unsubscribe button.
You can cancel at any time. If you cancel your subscription, your subscription will automatically end at the end of your commitment period – you will still be charged monthly until the end of your commitment period.

Please note, cancelling your subscription prevents it from renewing at the end of the subscription term, it does not constitute a request for a refund. You'll continue to have unlimited access until the last day of your subscription term.
