Awesome! You're thinking about upgrading to a new device 📱🎉.
Points/Progress
If you've created/signed into an account on your old phone, you can transfer your reading progress easily by signing into your account on your new phone from the More tab. Your progress and points will follow you!
If you haven't yet created an account, you should create an account and sign in on your old phone first, so you can have the progress synced from there to your new phone.
If you don't create an account, it'll stay on a Guest Account, and those are specific to the device they're made on. No one wants to lose their books! :)
Subscriptions
With subscriptions, things get a little bit more complicated.
First, be sure to create an account before purchasing a subscription, so that it doesn't get linked to a guest account. We aren't able to transfer subscriptions between accounts, so this is very important.
Since Apple and Android are different operating systems with different app stores and payment systems, currently subscriptions do not automatically apply when switching to a different type of device. This means that for subscriptions to transfer perfectly, your new phone needs to be on the same operating system as your old one.
For example, a subscription purchased from Google Play on an Android phone will work if you sign into your account on a new Android, since both use Google Play as the app distributor. If you sign into the same account on an iPhone, however, the subscription will not show up or work in the app, because Apple devices don't accept payments through Google Play.
The same applies to the reverse -- a subscription purchased on an Apple device will work if you sign in on a new Apple device, but it will not show up if you sign in on an Android, since Androids don't use Apple's App Store.
If you switched to a different type of phone and your subscription stopped working, please feel free to reach out to support through the "Submit a Request" link at the top right of this page. Our team will do the best we can to restore your subscription, but it isn't always possible due to the limitations between the different operating systems. If we aren't able to restore the subscription, we will work to provide alternative solutions.
This article about refunds may also help if you're thinking about switching to a different type of device than your subscription was originally purchased on.
